It's a yucky, cold and rainy day here. Leah is up in her crib pretending to nap, but we are about to leave for the Rosary Playgroup in a while, so it's not a big deal. Watch, she'll fall fast asleep the second I finish writing this now...
I thought this picture of Leah was a cute capture. I caught it as she toddled through a patch of sunlight shining on the carpet in my office. Every moment I spend with her, feels like this picture. Warm, sweet, and a bit fleeting. I know she won't be little forever and that makes me a bit sad. I'll just keep working to embrace each new stage of her life with the excitement and encouragement it deserves. I'm sure they'll always be part of me that misses the way we "brush"our teeth together in the morning. But those one-year old traditions will be replaced by new ones...for two and four and eight year olds. As I read recently...when you have little children the days are long, but the years are short. So true!
