Happy Summer Memories

Thanks to everyone for your kind words regarding my grandfather's passing. Every comment, phone call, email, and message was deeply appreciated and you don't know how much it means to me. One of my favorite memories is of a short paddle I took with my Dad when I was a little girl. We were camping at Green Lakes State Park with my grandparents, which strangely enough is now just a 10 or 15 minute drive from my house. I caught an eel fishing. It was pretty exciting, as was almost everything else about my regular summer camping trips with my grandparents.

Now Pete and I are trying to pass all those fun memories and a true love for the outdoors on to the girls. Thankfully we have lots of incredible people in our lives to help with that! Many of you love to hike, mountain bike, ski, snowboard, ice skate, climb, and so much more...just like we do. On our summer road trip to Wisconsin, we had an awesome time creating memories as we canoed with Nicolle and Jim (or Auntie Nicolle and Uncle Jim as the girls have come to call them during our twice yearly visits). The girls truly love being with Nic and Jim and I think the pictures say it all. Jim, was a particularly awesome sport as he paddled solo while I wrangled Aisy. Overall, everyone was really good and the girls were THRILLED to be out on the water. They took Jim's safety instruction to heart and really listened to the four grown-ups (if you can call us that :)). Enjoy the shots, just as I've been enjoying all my wonderful family memories of late. And if you ever have an idea for an excursion with the little Nowak ladies, let us know! If you have fun waiting, these girls will travel!
