The Flickr theme this week is "taking a ride" so I snapped this one of Leah catching a lift with Pete. These two have a little game where Pete lays on the living room floor pretending to be asleep. Then Leah comes up and "knocks" on his head (ever since she learned that you knock on closed doors to get a response, she's tried applying it to all sorts of other situations!). Leah's knocking "wakes Pete Up" with a great big roar, then she pretends to get scared and runs to me for protection (all while giggling wildly I might add!). There's been a new twist lately though, rather than knock, Leah just climbs on to Pete's back (backwards of course) and waits for him to give her a ride. They have a blast and even if it does seem a little nutty and crazy for pre-bedtime play...it makes them happy. And that makes me happy too.
